Gujrati Thali is superb
on Sep 20, 2017
I have'nt stayed at the hotel. Been there to have their Gujrathi Thali. Very homely food. The Phulkas are absolutely home made. Bit sweetish food. That's how the Gujrathis make it. Hence very original and authentic. Total Value for Money and very reasonable.

The good part - its cheap and its very near to BKC, Bandra station. Also, its Gujrati thali is good.
The bad part - rooms are too old, not so clean. washroom is very bad. old furniture. Service is ok.

Only for those who are die hard thali fans!
Ambience is not why you would want to come here. But the food is as authentic gujju as you can find in the city (except for that one paneer vegetable, which btw was pretty good). My friends kept on asking for more n more paneer bhurji vegetable.
The most differentiating aspect was simplicity of the menu, without using too much oil etc to make it richer in taste. Best part.. the Rs.230 price tag. Its become expensive over a decade but worth the price for those who have a huge appetite.
Go for it without any expectation of a very lavish presentation, nonetheless expect a treat.
Better be really hungry if you are wasooli types.:)
Waste of money
