    We stayed at Antares Beach Resort from 4th to 7th January 2019 and it was a memorable experience. Staff at the resort were polite, professional and courteous and took good care of us from the time of check-in to check-out. We were travelling as a family with 2 young kids and all special requests were met with a smile and executed to our satisfaction. Right from the Manager Mr Prashant to the check-in staff (Shubham & Kedar) and staff (Abdul) each made sure that the stay was a pleasant experience. The only suggestion we have is regarding the stairs to make the handrails childproof by reducing the gap between the railings.... More

    Great location- View from the balcony

    We got a chance to stay at their 'Party huts' as well as the 'Suite'. Both had their own charm. While staying at the party huts we experienced the Saturday party night and few performances at the famous Antares restaurant, all this while sitting in our own room's balcony. This room type is for the party lovers. On the other hand, the suite was quieter and really spacious. The highlight for our entire trip was the breathtakingly amazing view from the private balcony of this suite. We sipped morning coffees in our balcony with the peaceful sound of the beach waves, so serene and beautiful. As this is a beach property, we really enjoyed the direct access to the little Vagator beach. The staff was very helpful and attended to us promptly. The resort manager went an extra mile to make our holiday special and memorable, appreciate his hospitality. The breakfast buffet had limited options but all were delicious. I can only suggest to keep the food in the buffet warm as it got cold very soon. Overall, a splendid experience and we plan to book this resort for our future stay in Goa.... More

    Do not stay here! Terrible hotel, terrible service, lots of noise.

    We stayed here for 5 days at the end of December, the website describes the hotel as a tranquil place for couples to relax - unfortunately this couldn’t be further from the truth. During our stay trance music played on one night until 9.30am keeping us awake all night as the rooms are basically garden sheds with no sound proofing. We complained to the hotel staff the following morning and asked to be moved only to be told the manager was unavalibe and he was the only person who could help, when we asked when he would be back we were told 5pm so we came back from the beach early to meet with him to be told he had already left and was now uncontactable. We then managed to meet the manager the following morning and were told there would be no more music, we would receive a fruit basket, wine and vouchers as an apology - only the fruit basket came. We were feeling a bit happier until the restaurant had Club events in above the rooms every night following this discussion with the manager until 3.30am which he did not mention. The music had the bass up so loud the room was shaking. We complained again to the staff to be told the manger was yet again unavailable. And our problems were not resolved, we never saw the manager again after our first meeting and he remained uncotactable. During our stay our tv also stopped working, air conditioner leaked, we had no hot water and there was construction rubbish outside the rooms which was not moved. The room problems were eventually fixed apart from the rubbish. We don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to warn other potential guests of the problems we had. If you do choose to stay here, do not pre pay like we did as we found once they have the money they have no interest in the comfort of your stay. This being said the view is lovely and the restaurant food is good, if expensive for the area. Probably better to come for a meal than to stay in the hotel.... More

    Hype, Hype, Hurrah. Unfortunately not. We really wanted Antares to deliver, after all the hype but it just didn't. Great location has to be monopolised on though. To be constructive. Service - Reduce the number of people and don't delegate so much so the one or two people who are actually serving don't get overwhelmed. Always serve from the right, don't lean over tables or in front of customers, remember who ordered what so you don't have to ask and shuffle round the table, keep water topped up - basic service etiquette really. Food - Improve on the taste for the plant based options, the curries were bland, poorly presented and way too much rice. Maybe the flesh based options were better? It is also bear peas compared to others locally so think about value. Also what's the deal with not allowing Kingfisher to be bought after a certain time. Super strange. Hope this helps. ... More

    The worst stay ever!

    The property is quite make shift and an obvious after thought. Not planned to provide for a comfortable stay. Poorly built wooden cottages on the cliff that have no ventilation whatsoever. The bathrooms are a nightmare! The door won’t shut (of the loo and main entrance door to the cottage). There is water logging in the shower. There is no exhaust in the bathrooms. The staff is not helpful. Our locker was pre locked and in three days no one came to fix it, no matter how many times we requested. The kitchen providing breakfast is not that of the restaurant, as one would naturally assume. One would assume that at least Antares would manage half a decent breakfast. However, that’s not the case. Breakfast is basically poorly managed dhaba food. Just barely edible is what you could call it. The icing on the cake is a shack right on the beach. Barely 50 meters from the rooms - that hosts rave parties (have to be!!!) - twice a month (we learnt this at check out). They have blaring distasteful music that plays through the day and night! It’s loud enough for your doors and roof to be shaking! The bloody thing goes on till 10 am the next morning. While I get that may be the vibe some of the folks go looking for, we personally would have preferred the party to end once we were back in our rooms. Something they should be conveying or putting up on their website prior to taking reservations - or at least sound proofing their rooms. It was the worst stay ever ! Nothing and no hotel/resort/shack can beat the low standards that Antares has managed to achieve! This shabbily run establishment is cashing in on the hype the restaurant has managed to attain or simply India’s craze for MC Australia. It’s not even worth staying here for free!... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 02 PM and the standard check-out time is 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
