    As we hadn't booked prior for our travel to Ooty, we ended staying at Anika through a local friend reference. This place is average neat and tidy, no room service, rooms located on first and second floors with no lift facility, Rate for a 2 bedroom apartment is reasonable compared to other hotels at our time of travel. No room heaters was a drawback. Located near to town so it's walkable for those who wish not to drive the busy streets of Ooty. Overall good stay. ... More

    Very neat and clen place

    This place is very neat and clean. This is well connected to main road of the city. This is just connected to amll road lake of the city. Ambiance was really good and peaceful. Rooms were very much spacious and big and neat and clean. Room service was very nice and prompt., Front office staff was very much friendly, caring and supportive. They arranged taxi for us for roaming around the city.... More

    Neatness and calmness with limited amenities

    Our trip to Ooty last week was a quickly planned one, so there was no time to make room reservations or any other arrangements. Arrived Ooty at 20:30 and contacted an auto rickshaw driver and he took us to a place called De Santosh residency near the bus stand. What we have experienced there was a horror show. So just wanted to escape to some neat and calm place, thus we have reached this small cottage near the race court with the help of another guide cum auto rickshaw driver. This is a cottage/home stay facility. The rooms and bathrooms were very neat and clean. Our room was attached with two rooms, a kitchen and a sitting area. Two floor accommodation. We stayed at the first floor, but later shifted to the ground floor after the humble request of the manager (disappointing). Hot water was available 24/7 although not consistently enough. The best thing about this place was the incredible calmness during night time. It was unbelievable at times, pin drop silence. But the sleep quality was ruined by the crap beds. Too cushy to sleep on, had back pain, so we avoided it. They should consider replacing them. Walkable distance to the town. Very limited amenities with no phones, no restaurant (room service only). Last week was full of holidays, so there was a rush of tourists, very difficult to get your desired hotels. Considering all these things, this place was just about average. If you are a budget traveler looking for a neat and calm place at Ooty, then you may like it.... More

    We had the misfortune of staying in this hotel during our recent trip to Ooty, we were two couples. The hotel was arranged by a middle man, whom our companion couple knew, he said he will arrange a great hotel for us at a budget price! Since our companion was so sure about the middle man i went against my logic of checking reviews/booking online based on reputed reviews and decided to go with their recommendation. That was a mistake. What i didn't like about the stay: 1) No telephone in room So if we want to order food or need to contact staff for any reason we have to go to the reception. Its not very convenient when its cold outside. 2) Erratic water supply There was no water in the mornings while we were busy getting ready or in the evenings when we came back after outing. Had to go to the reception to ask them to turn on the pump. 3) Food The food was nice, but if we want room service we need to tell them before 6PM regarding what we need for dinner which will be served between 830pm and 930pm. Same thing in the morning, we need to tell them early in the morning what we need for breakfast. Again not very convenient because there is no phone and at times the reception is not manned either. 4) Bed The mattress was crap, it was very soft but it doesn't provide any kind of support for your back. I have a bad back and wasn't able to sleep properly because of this. 5) No room heater Ok, room heaters are not provided by all hotels in Ooty and it may not even be needed at this time of the season. But not to have one available even on request is very unfortunate and bad planning. We felt very cold on the day we reached Ooty as we were coming from a hot region and the availability of a heater would have made our first night a bit comfortable. 6) No double glazed windows Window panes are regular thickness glass and not double glazed. So it will not provide good thermal insulation. So i would not want to be stuck in this place during season time and with no room heater. 7) Rooms are not that big For the amount of money charged the rooms could have been bigger. 8) No proper bill :) !!! Yes when we checked out the bill was written and given in a piece of paper. LOL This was for the room, breakfast and tour. 9) Expensive food? I don't know but it costed us Rs1094/- for the following: Night 1 - 14 chapati, 3 veg curry, 1 chicken curry Day 1 - 3 coffee, 1 tea, 12 idlis and chutney sambar Night 2 - 10 chapatis, 4 veg curry 10) The tour was bad The 14 places tour arranged by the hotel was just about average. Of the 14 places listed in the pamphlet we saw around 9. When asked about the rest the answer came like "they were on the road, didn't you see it, there is no specific stops for those". Its very difficult to leisurely go sightseeing around Ooy (or any other place for that matter) when you know that you're not staying at a comfy place that you come back to and crash in the evening after a tiring day! So it was a great relief when we checked out of the hotel and continued our journey home.... More

    Hotel Anika palace is an average hotel located just near rose garden.and 0.5 kms away from bus stand ooty.Room is a little bit spacious and with good sweater cloth.Hotel staff was okey. It was a cottage and they arranged a cab for us for site seeing in ooty.The cab driver was very irressponsible and very rude. They charted a total of 14 places to c but we saw nly 9 of it.... More

Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 12 PM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance

  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
