    I had to visit Chennai with my husband for a certificate obtainment purpose. We checked in at 5:30 AM. We had done the payment through OYO rooms booking app. At the reception there was a person who has no idea of manners or front office management. The first thing he asks is, are you married. Then he asked us the show the proof. My phone was new and my husband's phone had no display and all my IDs have my father's name. He made a big fuss and made us feel humiliated and angry at the same time. I am not in social media. Finally we searched a marriage photo and then we were permitted in. I had to wake up my friend in Bangalore whose husband is working for OYO to put us in.. Room was terrible. Old rusted door, non functional AC, peeling wall paper and dirty bathroom floor.     Does the Job, Lot to Improve!

    The hotel is exactly on the main road (800 Mtrs ahead approx.) when you take a right turn from the Auto Stand in CMBT bus stand. I had to walk as no Auto wanted to go for it being near buy and only took me about 10 minutes to reach the hotel. I stayed in OYO room with an AC accommodation and complementary Breakfast. The hotel staff was pretty cordial but was not updated with hotel rules himself (must be new). The restaurant is decently priced but did not offer the many options (in menu) I asked for, so I had to go for the verbal menu and settle with super spicy food (in spite of asking less spicy). Nevertheless, it was a surplus on the quantity. They did not even offer me water in the room (which I had to ask for)! The TV remote had missing batteries (which I called the reception for, with no action taken), so I watched a single Tamil channel for few minutes and slept (for which I had booked the room anyway. There was a single towel in the name of usable item and no toiletries (not even a tiny soap)! The breakfast was a big disappointment to me. While they took time to ask for the order, they wrapped the Puri (my choice) and gravy like a roadside vendor which was soaked like a bun in tea. Not a pleasant experience for the so called complementary breakfast. I slept pretty good though as the bed was exactly as shown in the picture, the best plus for me and probably what I needed above all. One extra star for my sound sleep.     It's a basic place with no idea on how to service a guest. Food is bad, service is pathetic, response time is endless. AC either doesn't work or water leaks from the AC. I guess you can't expect more from them at that cost. The reason I rated 2 is for the location, else it would have been 1.... More

Amrita Inn is located close to the Vadapalani Murugan Temple (2 km). It is reachable from the Central Railway Station (9 km).   3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
