    The hotel services could have been better. The staff were friendly enough. But the rooms were just ok. Dint get hot water all the time which is a must. The food was just edible, not that good. Maintenance should be taken care of.... More

    Comfortable stay and wonderful staff.

    Very comfortable hotel. I got a warm and sunny room. The food was great and much better quality wise as well as price wise as compared to restaurants outside the hotel at mall road or lakkar bazaar. The hotel manager - Mr. Gulzaar is a soft spoken and very caring person. And so is the owner. Gulzar ji went an extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable stay during peak season. As compared to other hotels .. I found it very cozy, soft spoken staff and delicious food. Given the price of rooms they charge, its a gem and hospitality is priceless.     Dirty rooms with ice cold water

    We stayed in the hotel amar palace during our trip to Shimla. I had saw 3 in the trip adviser rafting so selected it . I booked the hotel on Yatra.com. When we checked in the room was below ordinary. The bedsheets wee dirty. To make things even worse the geyser was not working. I had to bath in the morning with ice cold water that shook Mr from inside. I complained to the hotel manager and he replied that I must switch on the geyser for the entire day in order to get hot water. They never changed the bedsheets during couple of days of our stay. The only positive that I was able to discover was good and tasty food. The description of the hotel was also somewhat misleading as it was mentioned that the hotel is situated just 2 km from the Shimla railway station. This 2 km is the walking distance and the hotel is situated at the top of the mountain.You have to b be really fit in order to cover this 2 km by fit with all your luggage as the roads are very steepy .I had to hire one collie in order to carry my luggage. If you are willing to hire a taxi it would charge in between 500 to 600 bugs to take you to the hotel as the taxi had to cover around 12 km in order to reach the hotel. I hope that I was able to describe my trip details that would help people in the near future.... More

    The Hotel is a bit at the top from the Ridge, Shimla. But you will experience the great hosptality by the Hotel staff including the owner (Mam). The receptionist was polite and the room service guys served with smile. A budget hotel with nice big and airy rooms with wonderful mountain views from the window.... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
