Poor Customer Service

Was on a business trip and we had booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms had serious AC issue leading to humidity and moisture in the room. In morning while leaving for work after breakfast it was informed to the reception, who promised solution and change of room when we come back in the evening.
When we returned in the late evening, when we asked for change in the room, the lady at the reception said the no rooms were available and the issue has been completely sorted.
We were in for a surprise, when we reached the room. We found that both the room were not cleaned and were in the same condition when we left. No water etc were replenished etc. The other room which was to be changed and was informed by the lady all things have been sorted out had water dripping and the condition was worse.
When we came down and complained at the reception all flimsy reasons and excuses were been given. No one was ready to get us connected to the GM, even after several requests.
All of a sudden, rooms were available and the room which had problems was offered to be changed. How come all of a sudden room was available. Since my room was not cleaned I asked for a change in room, but was told no rooms were available and only room available was noisy since it is next to night club.
I waited outside the room like a fool in the night after hard day's work in the night when the room was cleaned. I just walked in the corridor of the floor after dinner and found out there were rooms that were not occupied.
The Only solace was the restaurant - BLU. The service there was very good and the food was also good, though not value for money.
Also, while checking out when we asked for a Invoice, we were blatantly refused by the lady at the counter stating that the payment was done through the Hotel website hence Invoice will not be given. When we insisted and said it is non-negotiable just in sec the Invoice was handed over.
I have not seen such pathetic and poor customer service at any hotel before. We pay for comfort and subjected to such treatment?
I am sure I will not check-in to this Hotel again.
Maiden Kolkata visit

With great apprehension about my accommodation , I started my trip to Kolkata, but thanks to Hotel Aauris policies and most cordial staff , it turned out to be a most memorable trip.
Ambience is very good.
Location is very central &
All your needs are taken care of.

We were a group of 2 families with 1 small kid each. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights each. Although, we had food only once in the hotel, but I can recommend the food. The staff is humble and helpful. There is a small pool at the terrace, which was a good enough mode of enjoyment for kids. In spite of being a business hotel, it can recommended it for families on vacation. The mere proximity to Eden Gardens (where we went to watch IPL), Park Street (for the wide variety of food options) as well Burra Bazaar, makes it a great choice.

pleasant stay with all the amenities that a short business trip require, good location to reach many places in Kolkata and very kind staff from check in to check out. Price competitive for the quality of the services. I will use this hotel again next time in Kolkata
Just what we needed

Six friends travelling together with our first two nights at Aauris hotel. Easy check in, lovely and clean rooms with plenty of space and comfortable bed.
Breakfast is good, a choice of cooked eggs, toast, jam cereal etc as well as Indian food.
The location is a little oasis of calm but close enough to walk around and explore the city.
The pool on the roof is perfect for a late afternoon chill out. The roof bar served good drinks and tasty food. What's not to like.
