Shivi and the rest of the staff were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our accommodations were cozy and spacious, the food was delicious, the property was beautiful and had great views of the mountains, and the staff was extremely helpful in coordinating our travel between Shimla and the guesthouse.
The guesthouse provides a local phone for visitors' use. Shivi always answers his phone and offers helpful suggestions/quick resolutions to any concerns.
Was really impressed by the thoughtfulness of the staff — for example, one day when we stayed out into the evening, we returned to a warm room and discovered that our heater had been turned on.
Can't recommend highly enough!
Beautiful Shimla stay

This homestay is basically a mansion, and although a bit far from Shimla center, it had MUCH better views and you’re basically surrounded by lush green hills. Shiva was an amazing host and helped in every way during my quick stay. I was even upgraded to a suite because the dorms were still being worked on. The homemade thalis were sooo delicious as well. Many thanks for the recommendation to take the toy train to Kalka on my way back to Chandigarh, that was a incredible and breathtaking journey.
Breaking Mountain View

U can reach this places by bus or taxi. There are no auto rickshaw in Shimla so for cheap transport I suggest u choose bus. But If u have more money or come with a lot of baggage or bag, u can choose taxi with will cost more than Rp500-700 from Shimla new bus stand, but the price will depend on how u negotiate it. But for me, I choose bus, it only take around Rp11 from bus stand to Panthaghati, then if u touch enough, u can walk around 30minutes to reach that place or just take a taxi that will cost Rp150 to the places. It's depend on how u want to save your money and energy. Then u will arrived Aapo Aap Homestay with well welcoming. It's actually a house but u will shock how they renovated and maintain it as a pleasure places to stay. So beautiful interiors design, so clean, so calm, so cool there.
As solo traveller, so I choose to stay share girl hostel, with more cheapest cost Rp340/night. But the room was down level because most of this house was build in mountain. Luckily, that time no other customer in that room, so all is mine..hahaha..And I extremely shocking about the view directly from the room. Wow....so beautiful..wonderful..there are no complaint from the room except the room no tv and no wifi connection (wifi available upstairs). But others than that, everything was superrrrrr excellent...good hot water, room so clean, all fully furnished. Here some pictures of Aapo Aap Homestay.
A warm and friendly guesthouse

I stayed here for four nights with my friend after a whirlwind eight days of travelling. Aapo Aap and Shimla were literally a breath of fresh air! Shivi was so welcoming and friendly and the staff were great. Our room was clean and comfortable and the homemade thalis we had for dinner were delicious, as was the breakfast. The bus into town in the morning is easy, although it’s a little crowded on the way back so worth springing for a taxi - we bartered for 350 rupees from the bottom of the lift. Shivi also gave us a lift into town one morning and helped us to book on a tour. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Like most, if not all reviewers, we enjoyed Aapo Aap immensely. One of the best places
on our 3 months trip from Leh in the north to Trivandrum in the south. We stayed 5 nights in a room with private balcony, which was more like a terrace. Loads of space in the room(s), quiet and very clean. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Who would want to stay in a hotel in town? Shivi is a very professional, courteous and caring host...
