Beautiful but expensive
on Nov 13, 2019
So we visited this place in November, I must say their hospitality is really good. Area is huge and you feel cool staying in the arm of mother earth. We had taken acccomodation in burmese cottage. This is luxurious consisting of double toilets and double shower area. One of each doesnt have roof so you can enjoy taking shower in under open sky. Each cottage has a private jacuzzi tub where you can relax and enjoy.
We felt lighting of the room was not up to the mark but that doesnt take away other positives.
Coming to the food, they have few restaurents at difference locations with in the city, woodpecker is excellent and anything you have here is delicious be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Serving staff is equally good. Food is little expensive here but its worth to spent money for. The second place of food we visited was thali restaurent Manuhaar which services pure veg thali for 1300 per person. The food in this restaurent is not up to the mark given the price paid for it. All the vegetables were tasteless.
They have watersports in the lake. Pricing is slightly on higher side.
One of the good attraction here is golf course. You can enjoy your time playing golf on the golf course which is not that expensive compared other activities in this city.
Overall good experience. It is little expensive and is good for one time go for 2 days.
Gigantic & unwieldy !

At 10,600 acres, maintaince is a nightmarish. I confess they have done very well. Yes the construction quality is ageing and it shows. I stayed at cabana and these are huge suites with a brilliant view of the lake.
Food was excellent. It's a fair drive thru the property if u r moving one place to another. If u r looking for a weekend getaway, do consider.

We recently stayed at Amby valley. Had amazing experience. Staff was courteous and helpful. We got pleasant surprise as we were upgraded to Aussie suit. Could really spend quality time with family. Awesome place to relax.
Things to improve

To start off, the stay was pleasant and the staff was very courteous as well.
In room service takes a big hit, they claim the service area is far from the rooms/cottages etc.
Takes them half hour to get anything you’ve requested.
There seems to be a huge communication gap between departments and the staff working for the same.
Most of the activities were not operational during my visit. Which was a shame & the bigger concern was the activities “not operational” and/or “under maintenance” was not mentioned to us at the check-in nor on their own website even.
People booking for one activity for example will be disappointed with it not being there after they reach and waste the booking completely.
Rest all was fine.
