Itinerary

DAY 1 - Chandigarh - Shimla

  • Enjoy a yummy breakfast at your hotel
  • On arrival at Chandigarh airport, enjoy a drive to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh (It is perched at a height of around 2000 meters above sea level)
  • On arrival, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Shimla

DAY 2 - Shimla - Kurfi

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, visit Kurfi (It derives its name from ‘Kufr’ meaning lake. It is the venue for annual winter sports festival held in February and is also renowned for other adventures activities such as skiing, tobogganing (sliding downhill on a sled) etc. The Himalayan Nature Park is situated on the outskirts of the town and is home to over 180 varieties of fauna)
  • Thereafter, pay a visit to the famous mall road of Shimla and the Scandal Point Jhakoo Temple (private vehicles do not have access to Jhakoo temple because of the location. You can take a shared taxi from Mall Road to visit the temple. It’s advisable to visit the temple before it turns dark; hence, first visit the temple and then spend time on the mall road)
  • Post that, return to your hotel for dinner
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Shimla

DAY 3 - Shimla - Manali

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed by road for Manali
  • On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax
  • Dinner will be served at the hotel itself
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Manali

DAY 4 - Manali - Solang Valley

  • Enjoy yummy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, visit the popular tourist attractions of Manali
  • Later, proceed to Solange Valley to enjoy adventure activities like zorbing and paragliding
  • The evening can be used for exploring the city by yourself
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Manali

DAY 5 - Manali - Dharamshala

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, start trip to Dharamshala
  • On arrival, check-in at the hotel
  • The evening is free to explore the town by yourself
  • Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Dharamshala

DAY 6 - Dharamshala

  • Enjoy a yummy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, take a tour Dharamshala and cover the major attractions mainly the Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and Tibetan Monastery
  • After lunch, start sightseeing to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre and St. John Church, widely acknowledged for its Belgian stained-glass windows (Other than these attractions, some other places to visit include Kangra Art Museum, Tea Gardens, and Kunal Pathri Temple)
  • Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Dharamshala

DAY 7 - Dharamshala - Dalhousie

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, proceed for Dalhousie - a famous hill station in Himachal known for snow-capped mountains (You can also visit the British-era churches of St John (1863) and St Francis (1894) set among the pines at opposite ends of the ridge. The market areas at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk are linked by Thandi Sarak (Cold Road) and Garam Sarak (Hot Road)
  • Later, arrive at the hotel, check-in, and relax
  • Use the evening to explore the town on your own
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Dalhousie

DAY 8 - Dalhousie - Khajjiar - Dalhousie

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, visit Khajjiar (Often called India's Switzerland, the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has a circumference of about 5 km with its thick forests of deodar. At Khajjiar, there is a 12th century temple dedicated to Khajjiar Nag. Within the temple are life size wooden images of the five Pandav brothers)
  • Dinner will be served at the hotel
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Dalhousie

DAY 9 - Dalhousie - Amritsar

  • Enjoy a yummy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed for Amritsar by road
  • On arrival, check-in to the hotel, relax for a bit, and then leave to witness the Flag Retreat ceremony at Indo-Pak Wagah Border (an army outpost 30kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony)
  • Post the ceremony, head back to Amritsar
  • Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Amritsar
  • Note: Golden Temple Gurudwara is open 24 hours. So, you can visit it later at night on your own.

DAY 10 - Amritsar

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
  • Post breakfast, checkout from hotel and start your half day city tour to the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh summer palace museum
  • Post that, proceed to the airport or railway station for departure
