About Scoot PTE Ltd
Scoot Pte Ltd. is a low-cost, long distance Singaporean airline which is wholly owned by Singapore Airlines. Its operations began on the short distance flights in the year 2012 and then it started and long-haul routes flying mainly to Australia and China and then the rest.
Scoot operates completely individually from any of the other Singaporean airlines. At the start of their operations, Scoot's fleet consisted of Boeing 777 aircraft that they acquired from Singapore Airlines.
Scoot has its head office at Changi Airport Terminal 1 which is also its central hub airport for all operations.
Scoot is a part of the Value Alliance. It is the world’s largest alliance of only low cost air carriers. The airlines that are a part of the alliance are Cebu Pacific, Jeju Air, Tigerair Singapore, Nok Air and NokScoot, Tigerair Australia and Japan's Vanilla Air.
Scoot offers three types of cabins for its passengers. They include ScootBiz, Economy and Scoot-in-salience.
They currently have flight services to over 20 destinations across nine countries. A few of those destinations include India, Greece, China, Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia etc.
Scoot Fleet and Network
Their current fleet comprises four Boeing 787–8s and two Boeing 787–9s. They have three Boeing 787–8s and four Boeing 787–9s ordered as they are looking to expand route map services.
