Druk Air is a Royal Government of Bhutan owned Airline. This national airline of the kingdom of Bhutan operates a schedule network within the South Asian region. It had its headquarters at Paro, the scenic valley in western Bhutan. Druk Air begun operations in the year 1983 from Paro. It began its service with a 8 seat Dornier 228-200 that made its historic touch down at Paro airport on January 14, 1983. Druk Air upgraded its planes to the new BAe 146 on November 21, 1988. Druk Air operates a modest scheduled flight network within the South Asian region from its base at Paro Airport and currently consists of 12 destinations in 6 countries.
Druk Air operates scheduled flights to the following destinations: Siliguri, Bangkok, Delhi, Dhaka, Gaya, Guwahati, Jakar, Kathmandu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Paro, and Singapore.
Druk Air Fleet
As of March, 2016, the Druk Airlines fleet consists of the following aircrafts. Three Airbus A319-100 and one ATR 42-500s. this 48 seater aircraft was purchased on account of using it to service the domestic routes.
