China Airlines is the national flag carrier as well as the largest airline of the Republic of China (Taiwan). It is headquartered in Taiwan and uses the Taoyuan International Airport as its major commercial hub. The secondary hub is the Kaohsiung International Airport.

The passenger aircraft comprise 24 Airbus A330-300s, six Airbus A350-900s, 19 Boeing 737-800s, six Boeing 747-400s and 10 Boeing 777-300ERs. They have ordered eight Airbus A350-900 to expand its passegner flight business. The cargo planes that it operates are Boeing 747-400Fs.
