About Air Mauritius
Air Mauritius is the flagship national carrier of Mauritius. It uses the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport as its major commercial hub. The office is headquartered at Air Mauritius Centre in Port Louis, Mauritius. Air Mauritius came into being in June 1967, however started operations only in the year 1972.
Owing to its high class service, the airlines has won many notable awards. The most important one being seven time consecutively voted as the Leading Airline in the Indian Ocean at the World Travel Awards between 2005 and 2011.

Air Mauritius Fleet and Network
The current in-service fleet of Air Mauritius comprises two Airbus A319-100s, two Airbus A330-200s, six Airbus A340-300s and three ATR 72-500s. All the 13 aicraft are passenger planes. They have ordered eight more planes, two Airbus A330-900neos and six Airbus A350-900s, in order to replace the Airbus A340-300s.
Air Mauritius has codeshare agreements with numerous international airlines. Some of those include Air Austral, Virgin Atlantic, Kenya Airways etc. They have these agreements with a total of 11 airlines.
