About Air Astana
Air Astana is the national flag carrier of Kazakhstan. The main commercial hubs for Air Astana are Almaty International Airport and Astana International Airport. The frequent flyer program is called Nomad Club.
The airline was founded in the year 2001 but started operations only began in the May of 2002. The airline provides passenger air fights for both domestic and international airlines.
Air Astana Destinations
Air Astana flies 64 routes. Most of those routes are domestic routes with them slowly but steadily flying to international destinations. In June 2016, Air Astana launched a non-stop flight between Almaty and Tehran. Some of the other international countries that Air Astana flies to includes Azerbaijan, India, France, and People’s Republic of China etc.
Air Astana Fleet and Network
Currently, Air Astana has an in-service fleet of 31 aircraft. These 31 passenger planes comprise one Airbus A319-100, eight Airbus A320-200s, one Airbus A320neo, four Airbus A321-200s, five Boeing 757–200s, three Boeing 767-300ERs and nine Embraer 190s. They have ordered a total of 13 aircraft which comprise two Airbus A320neos, eight Airbus A321neos and three Boeing 787-8s.
Air Astana has codeshare agreements with the following airlines Air France, Air India, Asiana Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Etihad Airways, Hong Kong Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines.
